Thank you to everyone who joined us at Ground Floor Theatre and helped celebrate the world premiere of this very special new work.

Emiliana began its journey through GFT Writes, our playwright fellowship, and became the first play developed through the program to receive a full mainstage production. Thank you to playwright Jessica Peña Torres for entrusting us with this story and to the incredible cast and creative team who gave their time, talent, and so many hours to bringing it to the stage.

And thank you to every audience member who came to witness a brand-new play in its very first production. We’re so glad you were part of its beginning. ❤️

Gracias a todas las personas que nos acompañaron en Ground Floor Theatre y nos ayudaron a celebrar el estreno mundial de esta obra nueva tan especial.

Emiliana comenzó su camino a través de GFT Writes, nuestro programa de apoyo para dramaturgos, y se convirtió en la primera obra desarrollada dentro del programa en llegar a una producción completa en el escenario principal de GFT. Gracias a la dramaturga Jessica Peña Torres por confiarnos esta historia, y a nuestro increíble elenco y equipo creativo por dedicar su tiempo, talento y tantas horas de trabajo para llevarla al escenario.

Y gracias a cada persona que vino a presenciar una obra completamente nueva en su primera producción. Nos alegra muchísimo que hayan sido parte de este comienzo. ❤️

Over the last three years, Emiliana: A Revolution Cabaret has grown through GFT Writes and other workshop readings.

Playwright Jessica Peña Torres, director Mateo Hernandez, and dramaturg Megan Thornton share how the script evolved throughout that process, what changed, what they discovered, and how the Emiliana audiences see onstage today took shape.

Now, after three years of development, there are only three chances left to see the world premiere.
