"An All-Star Concert" features the Austin Opera Orchestra and four world-class soloists conducted by Timothy Myers. The concert includes some of the most passionate arias and duets in all of opera, plus selections from Broadway and the American Songbook.
This film production marks the Austin Opera debuts for mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard and bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green, both of whom are mainstays at The Metropolitan Opera. Returning to the Long Center stage are soprano Sara Gartland who starred as Adina in 2014’s The Elixir of Love, and tenor Chad Shelton, who last appeared with us as Don José in 2017’s Carmen. 🤩👏
The program will be available on-demand on the PBS app and austinpbs.org until July 24, 2021!

Just weeks after making his Austin Opera debut as the Jailer/Angelotti in Tosca, we are thrilled to showcase bass William Guanbo Su on this week’s Live from Indy Terrace! We filmed his diverse recital in our studio, with selections in English, Italian, German, and Chinese. Nyle Matsuoka – who was recently called upon when the weather kept the Tosca orchestra at bay – will join William on the piano.
This episode marks the beginning of our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.
