‼️This Thursday - 10/24, we’re hosting a Novice-Advanced Mix & Match Lindy Hop contest! You’ll dance with randomly selected partners and compete for a chance to win a pass to the Austin Lindy Exchange 2024! 🏆🎉

How it works:
👉 First, sign up! You must register in order to participate. Registration forms are in the comments!
👉 Prelims for advanced and novice dancers will be held separately at 9pm in the Art Gallery.
👉 Lead and follow finalists from the Novice division will pair up with Advanced finalists for the finals during the band break in the main ballroom.

October 24th Lindy Hop Contest: Win a Pass to the Austin Lindy Exchange 2024, Nov 14-17, 2024!

Announcing the Novice-Advanced Mix & Match!

What is it?
A Mix & Match is a contest where competitors dance with randomly selected partners throughout the prelims and finals.

Prelims for advanced and novice dancers will be held separately at 9pm in the Art Gallery. Yes, this overlaps with the band a little, but we promise not to keep you long!

Lead and follow finalists from the Novice division will then be randomly paired with a finalist from the Advanced division. The finals will take place during the band break in the main ballroom.

If this will be your first competition don’t fret! This is a great opportunity to try out a competition format in a supportive community environment. We will guide you through the prelims process, and you’ll have the support of an advanced dancer for finals!

Lindy Hop Foundations Workshop
Thurs, Sept 26 | 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM | $25 at the door

Want to level up your Lindy Hop? Want to dance effortlessly at any tempo? This workshop will give you the tools and techniques to help you swing out in your own unique style musically and at speed.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of the basic connection and six-and-eight count rhythms and footwork. This content is curated with our Lindy Foundations series class students in mind, but dancers of all levels will strengthen their technique in these workshops. Suitable for beginners to advanced dancers.

How to Dance like a S**g Dancer Workshop
Thursday, Sept 26 | 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM | $25 at the door

Collegiate S**g aims to float effortlessly around the dance floor, but how does one achieve this? By learning to move like a S**g dancer! Come join Amanda and Zach for some fun movement drills (and moves!) to help you move more efficiently in S**g.
This will be an all-levels workshop, intended for new and seasoned S**g dancers alike.

Pre-reqs:
- six-count basic, no prior S**g experience required
- slide-y shoes that do not grip the floor
