¡Honrar nuestras raíces es mantener viva nuestra historia!

🇺🇸 October 12 | Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Today, we honor the history, strength, and legacy of Indigenous peoples, whose roots continue to live through our traditions, music, dances, and cultural identity.

At Danzas Folklóricas Venezuela en Austin, we celebrate our heritage and the generations who have kept these traditions alive.

Honoring our roots means keeping our history alive! ❤️

| Venezuela: Roots of a Mestizo Land

It is with great excitement that I invite you to the First Gala of Danzas Folklóricas Venezuela en Austin: “Venezuela, Roots of a Mestizo Land.”

This special evening will celebrate our identity, traditions, and the cultural richness born from our Indigenous, African, and European roots, expressed through dance, music, and color.

We will also have the honor of welcoming special guest folkloric dancers from Peru 🇵🇪 and Mexico 🇲🇽, bringing their traditions to the stage and adding to this beautiful celebration of the cultural diversity that unites our Hispanic community.

As the founder and General Director of Danzas Folklóricas Venezuela en Austin, I am incredibly proud to see this project continue to grow and create spaces where we can preserve our traditions while sharing the beauty of Venezuelan culture with our broader community.
