Austin legend Stephen Doster’s new 2 CD album “A Passing Train” is available for preorder, and I have the honor of playing on it.

I tracked piano and hammond organ (to 2-inch tape) at EAR Studio on the songs “A Passing Train” and “The One That I Got” alongside Chris Searles on drums, Brian Stander on cello, Randy Miller on bass, and Andrea Magee and Rich Brotherton on vocals.

A bunch of other great players are featured on the record as well, including JJ Johnson, Dony Wynn, George Reiff, Will Sexton, Kevin Lovejoy, Bukka Allen and James Stevens.

You too can check out this beautiful record at Stephen’s website:

Those who buy their tickets now will certainly feel cheated. Attendees won't say things like, "It was amazing. All these brand new songs performed for the very first time. You just had to be there!"

Finally tried our hand at making huevos motuleños! Fried tortillas, refried beans and eggs, topped with a homemade habanero salsa, diced ham, peas and queso fresco, served with a side of fried plantains.
