🎓 More than a college field trip… it is a journey of connection, discovery, and possibility! ✨

Our recent visits to Our Lady of the Lake University and University of the Incarnate Word reminded us of the power of college exposure!

Beyond exploring college opportunities, these moments create space for mothers and daughters to connect, dream together, and imagine what’s possible. ❤️

🌱 Every campus visit plants a seed of inspiration, opens doors to new possibilities, and brings college dreams one step closer to reality!

Over the last two weeks, our Executive Director, Linda, has had a blast serving as the Consuela Fairy, spreading joy and purse fashion to some of the amazing women who helped make our inaugural Mariposa Walk a success! 🦋👜✨

💗 Summer Salazar, CMM Board Member, who raised an incredible $2,345!

💗 Leticia Mendoza, Mariposa Walk Chair, whose vision and leadership guided our committee over two and a half months.

💗 Shelsea Sanchez, CEO of Commune and Bloom, who led the stretching and breathwork that helped us feel grounded, energized, and ready to walk!

💗 Darian Montes, Mariposa Walk Committee Member and winner of our Call to Action raffle!

Thank you, ladies, for sharing your time, talents, and hearts with Con Mi MADRE. Your contributions helped turn every step into an opportunity for Latina youth and their mothers! 🦋

🦋 Mariposa Walk Video is here!

Thank you for making our inaugural Mariposa Walk a success.

Our hearts are full of gratitude for everyone who walked, volunteered, sponsored, partnered, donated, and cheered us on.

Together, we raised $33,535 to support the programs and services we provide at no cost to Con Mi MADRE girls and their mothers, a commitment we have proudly upheld since 1992. 💜

We can't wait to walk with you again next year!🦋

This week, members of the Con Mi MADRE leadership team are in Chicago for an Annie E. Casey Foundation grantee convening.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from one another and visit Chicago-based nonprofits working to close education gaps. We look forward to bringing fresh ideas and inspiration home!

"Our stories can inspire the next generation to see what’s possible."

On Tuesday, our Executive Director, Linda Medina-Lopez, shared her path from El Paso to Austin and from an elementary teacher to Con Mi MADRE with UT Austin’s Hispanic Business Student Association . She spoke about her personal experiences that shaped her commitment to education and the possibilities we see every day in the Con Mi MADRE girls and their mothers.

Thank you, Texas HBSA, for the opportunity to share Con Mi MADRE's mission. We look forward to working with you!
