Helyn Rain Messenger (Victoria Craye/Operator) is an actor and songwriter from Driftwood, TX. Austin Shakespeare: Thea Elvsted (Hedda), Phebe (As You Like It). She will be playing Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Zilker Park this summer. Favorite Austin roles: Tilly in Melancholy Play (Palindrome Theatre), Dulle Griete in Full Circle (Mary Moody Northen Theatre at St. Edward's University), Parallel Lives (Trinity Street Players ). BFA in acting from St. Edward's University.

Bio for Khali Sykes: Austin Shakespeare: Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest (online). Khali is an actress, dancer, writer, and choreographer with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin Department of Theatre & Dance. Recently, she was seen in A Christmas Carol at ZACH Theatre. She has also performed in and collaborated on productions at Trinity Street Players, New Manifest Theatre Company, Spectrum Theatre Company, and Texas Performing Arts. She has been seen in the independent films LOVEBITES, Addict Named Hal, and Something's Wrong with Peter. She is represented by Collier Talent Agency.
Portrayed as an African American family, the cast also features Kenah Benefield as the Gentleman Caller, Marc Pouhé as Tom, Franchelle Dorn as Amanda. Live solo violin accompaniment by Bennie Braswell. Directed by Ann Ciccolella, with Lighting by Patrick W Anthonyand Costumes by Aaron Kubacak. Yesterday we said goodbye to and thanked Ann Pittman Zarate for her 10 years of service as the Artistic Director of Trinity Street Players and 16 years of service in total to First Baptist Church. It was a day full of celebration, joy, singing, love, laughter, and grief.

We are excited to officially welcome Reverend Ann Pittman AKA Ann Pittman Zarate to our church staff, serving in the newly created part-time position "Minister of Innovation & the Arts." Ann (s/h) relocated to St. Joseph with husband, Manuel, and toddler, Shaffer. Ann has ministered in TX, MO, CO, Guatemala, and Chile. Specialties include: faith and the arts, the Torah, and women. As a theatre artist, Ann has acted across the country; as Artistic Director of HBMG Foundation, she ran Colorado’s National Winter Playwrights Retreat, and oversaw the podcast The American Playbook. She is founder and Artistic Director of Trinity Street Players, an outreach ministry to Austin’s Arts community by First Baptist Church of Austin. Ann’s parents, Michael & Carol Pittman attend FCC.

Other favorites include "Treasure Island and Little Red Chunari" at Austin Scottish Rite Theater, Coriolanus at Trinity Street Players, and Miracle on 34th St. and South Pacific at The Georgetown Palace Theatre. Michelle is a graduate of the The University of Texas at Austin and a proud pupil of the Laurel Vouvray.

Kelsey is so excited to be working with her favorite people at Street Corner Arts for the second time! Before this pandemic madness, Kelsey was last seen in Street Corner’s BUTCHER OF BARABOO (Winner of 6 B. Iden Payne Awards including Outstanding Small Cast and Outstanding Production of a Comedy) as the Morman mother of 6. Other Austin theatre credits include DRACULA (ZACH Theatre), THE BOOK CLUB PLAY and YANKEE TAVERN (Different Stages), SIGNIFICANT OTHER (Jarrott Productions), THE ANTIPODES (Hyde Park Theatre), OUR TOWN and INTO THE WOODS ( Street Players), and THE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL (Ground Floor Theatre). Kelsey graduated with her BFA in Acting from the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU and is currently an Austin-based actor. She lives in East Austin with Sam, her amazing and patient fiancé, and their three fur babies. Kelsey would like to thank everyone for supporting local arts during this crazy time!
