After 3 years of disarray from the pandemic, they found it of utmost importance to return.

This weekend we are providing an immersive experience of Warrior Goddess King - a works in progress.

A lot has happened since it’s original staging in 2019 and they have so much more to say.

POWER HOUR IS TODAY FROM 2-3pm. Here’s what your money 💰 will do:

✨$5- amplify our voice
✨$25- building together
✨$50- 1 hour of studio rental
✨$100- costuming, lighting, technical production equipment
✨$300-pay an artist for performance
✨$600-build the legacy

Since 2016, Ashé Arts Austin has been a constant in the arts and culture community consisting of various, multi-talented Black artists (dance, theater, painting🎨, sculpture, martial arts🤸🏾, yoga🧘🏿‍♂️, and music🪘🎤). We believe the arts carry with them a collective memory and essence of a people. Art is our time machine to the past, our mirror of the present, and our oracle into the future. 🔮

Ashé Arts exists as a tool 🛠for preservation and representation of the African Diaspora’s cultures with performances🎭, fundraisers, workshops, classes and collaborations.🎟🤝

Ashé Arts is a dynamic theater company bringing together a collective of talented creatives led by award winning dancer/choreographer/actress Sadé M. Jones. 💃🏾

We are looking for dynamic performers of all ages, disciplines and skill levels to come help us celebrate the beauty of arts through out the Black Diaspora. 🌍

⚠️Interested participants may come with headshot and theatre experience (not required). For actors/actress 🎭 please come with a prepared monologue or poem, singers 🎤 please come with a prepared song and music 🎶 or a ca****la, dancers please come with a 60 second movement phrase 👯‍♀️. Please be prepared to cold read text or pick up a choreographed 8 count. 🗒

It’s been two years and we know you’ve been wondering...Ashé Arts Austin is still here! Instead of running against the tide of the pandemic, we made a wise decision to get quiet and allow the current to move through us.
In the current times, there is the reality that art funding has significantly shrunk in life altering ways and we need your help. Art gives people that audacity to move anyway. Audacity is the way we respark. And with your help, we can spread the audacity to live life anyway.

A season of art that reflects the current times...and also the current you. Mourn the old, embrace the current and envision the possibilities. Ashé Arts' 4th season starts in January 2022!
