After a brutally hot day, the sun went down and the lights came on at River City Quarter Midgets. Arrive and Drive families had a great time turning laps for the first time. Several people we need to thank. First and foremost Joey Jenkins, Joey has been a key team member, he runs the show and is always willing to help anyone with anything. We are blessed to have alumni that always volunteer anywhere they are needed. Randy Kastner and his wife Georgeann. Randy is an excellent Flagman and his wife is always willing to help in the tower. Thank you both so very much. Chris Quilty, the busiest man at the track and one of the best Race Directors in the country. The way he deals with kids is absolutely amazing. Thank you sir. Danny Leger is a long time member and supporter. Danny is also always willing to volunteer for work, he is always doing things to improve the club like QR Codes to learn about QM racing! Thank you sir! Kara Wright and Kim Wimberley for working in the concession stand and sweating more than the kids. Thank you ladies we will get an AC in there soon. Savannah Bankston, she is amazing at creating signage, power points, running errands, doing whatever is needed. Thank you ma’am. Kristin Lunkley, Kristin and Savannah had the idea of a medical Tent, turns out this was absolutely needed and appreciated. Several folks and kiddos went to the tent for aid. Ladies this was amazing. Thank you!! The ladies in the tower, Erin Lee, Ellen Wright, Laura Jenkins , Georgeann Kastner. These ladies work in there all night keeping the program scored and the program running, thank you. This doesn’t happen without the selfless dedication from each and everyone you. I want to personally thank each and everyone of you!! And I must also personally thank Toby, Christina, and Riley Allen. They are alumni and are now racing Protrucks on the big tracks, they came to watch and took over pitting my cars and doing driver and plate swaps on the Sample’s car. They rescued me so I could just breathe a little. Everyone is amazing!! Outstanding effort by everyone.

Several RCQMA members traveled to Tulsa Oklahoma for the First Round of the BOSS Series. Kane Kubosh won all 3 classes he was in!! Congratulations Team!! Ryland Bankston finished a solid 4th in his first start in Blue Rookie! Logan Wright was involved in a huge wreck in Jr 160 and was unable to continue. He is fine and is ready to get the car repaired and get back after it. Congratulations to all of the RCQMA drivers!! This is a highly competitive series and is just going to continue to grow!
