A sad day in the local music community. Chris Gage passed from this world Sunday August 24. Besides playing with his beloved Christine Albert as Albert & Gage for 25+ years, he held a 30 year residency at Donn's Depot.

Chris Gage, the Academy of Texas Music’s “Musician of the Year 2011”spent many years on the road with Red Willow Band, Roy Clark, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Jeff Walker in addition to his Albert and Gage shows.

He's appeared on Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show (both Carson and Leno), The Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Now, Texas Connection, Austin City Limits and over 100 appearances on Hee Haw. Iconic venues he's played include The Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, Mountain Stage and The Fillmore West.

He’s a 2 time member of the South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and an inductee into the SD Friends of Traditional Music Hall of Fame.
