Join us for some Argentine style and Texas hospitality at our annual Spring Tango Festival in Austin The Austin Spring Tango Festival started 20 years ago!

Every year our goal has been to make the festival the best it can be, and over the years we have learned a lot about what makes a festival successful for its attendees, maestros, DJs, and our community. We look back with pride on the continual improvement we believe we have achieved over this period. Our festival consistently sells out now, but we have no desire to increase its size. About 350 people is ideal for the size of festival we want to be providing. It allows us to afford to bring in the finest teachers from around the world, it allows us to retain a sense of coherence and community that is harder to maintain in larger events. And the feeling of the physical space has always been important to us. We want a space that is beautiful and is vibrant and peaceful at the same time. Our goal, then, is not to grow the size of our festival, our goal is to perfect the feeling and experience you have when you attend the Austin Spring Tango Festival. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with all of you so stay tuned as we plan our next memorable festival, one not to be missed! We’re excited to welcome DJ Alyssa Quinn Jernigan for the first time DJing at the Austin Spring Tango Festival! 💥

Although Alyssa was initially dragged into tango, she quickly became a convert after her first ocho cortado class. And after only a year of dancing, she became the President of the University of Oregon Argentine Tango Club. Since 2013, Alyssa has been a DJ at various festivals and marathons throughout the US and Shanghai, China. As a DJ, she strives to play accessible yet complex music that inspires dancers to connect within themselves, their partner, and their environment. Alyssa believes the best DJ sets are built on attentive crowd reading and an excessive number of empanadas.

We're pleased to present the detailed workshop schedule for Austin Spring Tango Festival 2027. All workshops will be held at the main venue, The Mansion.

Are you ready to be inspired and take your tango to the next level? ASTF is again bringing you world famous tango teachers! Take workshops with our brilliant Maestros through 3 Class Tracks with Lucila & Joe, Ariadna & Fernando and Silvina & Julio. No matter what your experience level is, we've got you covered. Each couple will be teaching, at different times, workshops suited for 3 levels of experience: 1. All Levels - classes suitable for all levels of experience, 2. Intermediate - classes designed for experienced dancers, 3. Advanced - classes designed for highly experienced dancers.

Individual workshops are available for purchase by Milonga Pass holders. If you plan to take more than a few workshops during the festival, a Full Festival Pass is the better value, giving you access to all of the classes.

With its beautiful historic character and timeless elegance, The Mansion provides a truly special setting in the heart of Austin. All workshops and all milongas except the Late Night Speakeasy Milonga will be held at The Mansion.

Registration opens in 15 days! Start planing your trip for Austin Spring Tango Festival happening March 19-21, 2027. There will be other major events happening in Austin the same weekend as our festival so it's important to book your hotel early.
