Join us for some Argentine style and Texas hospitality at our annual Spring Tango Festival in Austin The Austin Spring Tango Festival started 20 years ago!

Every year our goal has been to make the festival the best it can be, and over the years we have learned a lot about what makes a festival successful for its attendees, maestros, DJs, and our community. We look back with pride on the continual improvement we believe we have achieved over this period. Our festival consistently sells out now, but we have no desire to increase its size. About 350 peo

ple is ideal for the size of festival we want to be providing. It allows us to afford to bring in the finest teachers from around the world, it allows us to retain a sense of coherence and community that is harder to maintain in larger events. And the feeling of the physical space has always been important to us. We want a space that is beautiful and is vibrant and peaceful at the same time. Our goal, then, is not to grow the size of our festival, our goal is to perfect the feeling and experience you have when you attend the Austin Spring Tango Festival. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with all of you so stay tuned as we plan our next memorable festival, one not to be missed! We are thrilled to be back at The Mansion for the Austin Spring Tango Festival 2027, March 19-21! With its beautiful historic character and timeless elegance, The Mansion provides a truly special setting in the heart of Austin.

An elegant historic ballroom for milongas
Beautiful hardwood floors to dance on
Two smaller rooms for events and workshops
Gathering spaces to relax and socialize outside of the Milongas
Charming outside courtyard to enjoy

We are honored to welcome back Lucila Cionci and Rodrigo “Joe” Corbata, cherished members of the Austin Spring Tango Festival family, for ASTF 2027! Originally from Buenos Aires and now residing in Spain, Lucila and Joe usually teach and perform in Europe and Argentina, making their U.S. appearances rare, except for their participation in our festival. Renowned in the worldwide tango community for their extraordinary skills, extensive experience, and boundless passion for tango, they bring a unique joy and generosity of spirit to every interaction. Learning from Lucila and Joe and watching the beauty of their dance are a gift for those who have the opportunity, so don't mis it!

We are especially thrilled to welcome back Ariadna Naveira & Fernando Sanchez to the Austin Spring Tango Festival! When they first performed and taught at ASTF 2010, they were already recognized as rising stars of the tango world. Seventeen years later, their artistry has only deepened, their fame has only grown, and their recent appearance at ASTF 2026 reminded us why they are so beloved. Ariadna and Fernando are a vital part of the international tango scene, gracing the most prestigious festivals and sharing their work in more than 40 countries and hundreds of cities. Admired for their unique style and unmistakable personality, they are celebrated not only by audiences—both casual and devoted—but also by their peers around the globe. Their energy is contagious, their warmth unforgettable, and they bring to the festival a sense of joy and playfulness that makes every moment with them a gift.

We are delighted to welcome Silvina Tse and Julio Alvarez back to the Austin Spring Tango Festival 2027! Hailing from Italy and Cuba respectively, Silvina and Julio have been teaching together since 2021 and now run a tango school in Bologna, Italy. Their already established success at building their international profiles as individual artists was magnified as they began working together, demonstrating the elegance and musicality which quickly led to teaching and performance opportunities throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia. With impressive tango backgrounds and legions of devoted followers, they bring a special magic to their performances and teaching. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet and learn from these maestros!
