We've seen a lot of worlds end in our time playing together, a lot of stages we called home or were welcomed to by those who did dim their lights forever. But the loss of the Hideout Theatre stings, burns, and especially fu***ng sucks as it's the theatre we've played at/in/on/through the most. All comes to ash and ruin in the end as we trip the light entropic toward the heat death of the universe...but there are still and always places where people gather to share stories and songs, poetry and madness, comedy and tragedy. The Hideout was such a haven, and will remain so wherever they set up their campfire next, while the rich asshole's bar taking its place on Congress Avenue will likely tip over into the widening gyre much earlier than the rest of us. And we'll sing a special profane siege when it does, but for now we sing only praise and love for a place that opens its doors to weirdos like us, and invites others to come and see...
