We’re writing to share an important update regarding Manifest the Future Festival.

Due to forecasted weather conditions and out of an abundance of care for everyone’s safety and experience, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the festival. While we were truly looking forward to gathering with you, this decision allows us to create the kind of inspiring, joyful event you deserve.

The good news: Manifest the Future Festival will be rescheduled for this summer. New dates and details will be announced soon. This spring, we’ll be hosting a series of additional free workshops—offering space to learn, create, and manifest together while we count down to the festival.

Starting this November, Austin area youth 8-17 are asked to write short stories, poetry or songs inspired by our selected artwork. This year’s inspirational artwork is “Where the Water Falls” by Vanessa Hoang Hughes.

Attention Austin theatre artists! Lacey Cannon Gonzales and Carl Gonzales are leading a directing workshop on Sept. 29.

This 90-minute workshop is a call to action for theater makers ready to move beyond the traditions and structures of white-centered theater. Through physical, ensemble-driven exercises, participants will confront inherited habits, unlearn exclusionary practices, and create space for new ways of making theater that center equity, representation, and belonging.
