We've got two more fun elective classes starting soon!Meisner for Improv with Michael Joplin begins September 20, and This Way to Awesome: A Public Speaking Program with Adam Gonzales begins September 21st!

Adam Gonzales is a national award winning public speaker and presentation coach, and he's going to work with students to enhance public speaking performance and decrease apprehension. This online course is designed to prepare individuals to be effective oral communicators in all aspects of public speaking including the design and delivery of prepared and improvised speech. All levels of public speaking experience welcome!

Michael Joplin is a B. Iden Payne award winning actor, and was named Best Actor in Austin in the Austin Chronicle Reader's Poll in 2014. Joplin studied Meisner for five years with Laurel Smith Vouvray. Explore how to double down on the emotional investment of the character, especially when the character's wants are absurd or are centered around the heightened bit of a scene.

Austin Sketch Fest is online this year and happening this weekend! There's still time to join the virtual ASF fun by joining us for Inside the Writers' Room with Rich Talarico! This 4-hour workshop takes place Saturday, Aug. 22nd from 12-4p Central!
Bring in your existing sketch or get one onto paper based on Rich's prompts.

In Your Moment, Shannon Stott encourages and guides womxn to improvise boldly and to take up space in spite of stereotypical feedback from fellow players. [Starts Aug. 15]

In The Art of Misbehavior, Michael Jastroch targets the value of developing joyful and supportive anarchy as a performer, in order to cut loose, create joyful moments and attack the game of the scene with gusto. [Starts Aug. 19]

In Develop Your Comedy Pilot Concept, Shruti Saran will cultivate a collaborative writer's room, using brainstorming and free-associating to help you "break" a compelling pilot story, resulting in a high-concept idea that will make people want to read the script, along with a beat sheet for a half-hour pilot that actually delivers. There's still time to join us for Online Improv for Beginners with Lilli Lopez, starting tomorrow at 6p! Lilli's class meets once a week for six weeks. Lilli Lopez is a writer, performer and producer in Austin, TX. Lilli is known for her performance in Latinauts: Improvised Telenovelas, a 2019 Austin Critics Table Award winner and 2017 B. Iden Payne Awards (Outstanding Improv Production, Outstanding Cast [Improvised Show], and Outstanding Direction. Lilli also co-directed Latinauts: Wrath of Juan and Latinacional and directed and hosted The Rose: Trouble in Paradise at ColdTowne. Lilli is an actor and teaching artist with the Paramount Theater Story Wranglers, a producer of BettyFest, an annual all-women comedy festival in Austin, Texas.
