Experimental Response Cinema is a collective of avant-garde film and video artists, devoted to bringing local, national, and international experimental cinema to Austin screens. We strive to show all media (16mm and 8mm film, digital video, and others) in its original format, under the best possible screening conditions. We had our first screenings in February 2012, in the care of Caroline Koebel,

Ekrem Serdar, and Scott Stark. We also assist with and list screenings of The Mad Stork Cinema, a UT Austin group. The Mad Stork Cinema initially began screening work with the Austin Cinematheque. We have a similar relationship with Farewell Film Club, a quarterly screening series that takes place at Farewell Books. Current ERC programmers are Jarrett Hayman, Ekrem Serdar, Scott Stark, and Rachel Stuckey.
