REWRITING HISTORY:
The Black Scholars Who Civilized Europe
Imagine a people who lit the streets of Europe when London was still mud and darkness. Who saved the works of Aristotle from being lost forever. Who brought algebra, oranges, and the first public hospitals to the West.
They weren't Greeks. They weren't Romans. They were the Moors.
Who were they? Not Arabs, as you've been told. They were the Imazighen—the 'free men' of North Africa. In 711 AD, they crossed into Spain and built a civilization that would shine for 800 years while the rest of Europe slept. They taught the continent how to read, how to heal, and how to think.
Then history erased them. Their name became a slur. Their legacy was buried under the word 'invader.'
