We’ve got some of the best stand-ups, comedy lifers, and all-around funny people teaching our classes and putting on shows. Our amazing teachers make up some of the most experienced improv teaching staff in Texas. When our 65-person theater is full, we’re not performers and observers, we’re a community, and we’re all a part of the action.

Hey, Everybody! This Saturday night the Chapel at Trinity Church of Austin is going to become the Comedy Chapel at The Trinity Church of Austin!

Stephanie Chiarello is hosting the first ever stand up comedy showcase at the place where I work! And it's pay what you can night! Because in keeping with the church theme, we're going to pass the collection plate!

This Saturday night at 7 pm in Hyde Park at Trinity Church of Austin! (4001 Speedway, Austin, TX 78751) All are welcome!

Hey, Gang!

After four years, we're finally getting the old gang back together! The Institution Theater Family Runion is happening tomorrow! Saturday, March 23rd, from 2 pm to 6 pm at Radio East!

Radio East is the second location for Radio Coffee & Beer at 3504 Monopolis Drive! (It's not the Radio Coffee & Beer on Menchaca!)

Everyone is welcome, so feel free to bring your kids! There's a fenced-in playground at the back of the huge outdoor area!

And please invite anyone you think would have a fun time coming to our little party! It doesn't matter if they ever set foot in any of the iterations of The Institution Theater. If they're a friend of yours, then they're a friend of ours!

Escálandalo - Improvised Telenovela is performing for the last time in 2023 tonight! Don't let this year end without seeing your favorite improvised telenovela troupe one last time!

Hey, Everybody! I still have a few spots left in my Improv For Creators Workshop happening from 1 pm to 4 pm this Sunday!

It's a 3-hour workshop for painters, writers, photographers, jugglers, poets, etc. where we're going to use improv exercises to focus on finding ways to be inspired, resilient, and have fun when creating things doesn't seem fun anymore.
