Hey Freaks!!! It’s been a minute since I’ve been on here and I wanted to jump on and give everyone an update on The Collector. This batch of blues is going in the kiln for their final firing 🦀

I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while I was dealing with some family health stuff that was slowing down production. Things are moving along much more quickly now! The last batch of reds are finished casting and half way trimmed up and the last batch of blues are getting cast this weekend 🤙🏻

Thanks again for your patience, things will be moving along much faster now with more frequent updates on here.

Another update! The first round of blue Collector mugs have gone through their underglaze firing. I love this stage of the process because washing them off afterwards reveals the first look at what the colors will look like after clear coat! A lot of work goes into the glazing on them and I am pumped with how the fade came out. These guys need clear coat, interior and eyes before final firing. So close now!!!

Glad I was able to get the underglaze firing done before this big freeze coming here in ATX. I’ll get them finished up and do the final firing after we come out of the other side of this winter storm.

Shop update!!

First I just want to say thank you to those of you who ordered one of these critters. I love this design and can’t wait to get them out to you. The first round of red crabs are out and the first round of blues are about to be done! I also want to say thanks to everyone that has reached out. There have been some family health concerns that have had me prioritizing my focus away from art for a while now, and I’m extremely appreciative of everyone’s understanding. Under normal circumstances it doesn’t take nearly this long for mugs to come out of the studio. I’ll be posting more frequently now with updates and production is moving along more quickly which I am excited about.

These dudes are going in for underglaze firing tonight and then just need a clear coat and eyes done before final firing. I’ve already begun the casting process for the next wave of mugs.

Thank you again for your patience and trust. The Collector mugs are looking awesome and you will love them! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

I’ll have 1 Graveyard Shift zombie hand with stand available tomorrow at 6pm CST as well. The stand allows you to display your sculpture in a multitude of ways, one way being able to hold anything from your favorite bottle of rum at your bar, to your keys and wallet by your entryway!
