Heartbroken at the news of Bill’s passing. He was a strange bird of the best variety.
As part of Neighbor’s crowdfunding rewards, I’d asked Bill to do an off-the-cuff PSA at the end of two long shoot days. He graciously obliged and, without blinking, spit out this perfectly unhinged and hilarious announcement right there on the spot. Wasn’t surprising, that’s just how he talked.
Forever grateful I was able to work with him while he was here. He was a chaotic burst of unpredictable joy to have on set and made his character in bigger and better than I could’ve expected.
As he described himself, he was “Austin’s indie darling,” and I know he brought this kind of off-kilter magic to film sets and living rooms all around Texas.
Bill, you will be missed. RIP.
