Imagine an diverse musical internet destination that includes all that is Austin music. A place where hours of local music can bathe any work atmosphere or crazy commute with the tunes of our town 24 hours a day.

This is one possibility that exists for WePlayAustinMusic.com a volunteer project to build, promote, and maintain a collection of playlists all about Austin music past, present and future.

What about this? Here’s another more difficult, but possible reality.

What if the income from the thousands or millions of song plays in businesses all over Austin could stay local? Think about, what retail shops, cafes, bars or restaurants don't have background music?
