đŸ”„Our biggest announcement of the year is here. 👏The program is set, and we can’t wait to share this with you.

Especially because this one was extra! 😂 This season’s selection process was by far the most extensive yet. One Ounce Opera, in our annual call for scores, reviewed a record 105 short operas submitted from all over the world – more than double what we received last season. High-quality, engaging works from folks living as far away as Italy & Australia and as close as a neighborhood over.

We worked diligently to line up an engaging program of three micro-operas (in English!) that will immerse you in the sonic tellings of connective, important, oh-so-human stories. Stories that feel NOW. Dynamic. Transformational. Familiar, yet
not. With characters – and voices – you won’t soon forget.

And this summer, we’ll open the doors to the warehouse and welcome you to indulge in our freshest crop of three micro-operas. Performed together. On a single program:

experience Songs About Love during your lunchtime today, part of the Thursday Noon Concert Series in Downtown Austin.

This event is exactly what it sounds like – a chance to relish sweet operatic nuggets that will make your heart all a-flutter. Drop into this lovely lil’ midday treat – approachable, no-fuss, and FREE to attend. At about 35 minutes, it’s the perfect length for a quick pick-me-up.
