✨ Stephanie is the founder of the Black Improv Alliance, with whom we’ve partnered to bring our diversity scholarships for improv classes! Stephanie is a very in-demand performer and teacher around the country!
✨ Support Stephanie and Black Improv Allaiance by following them @blackimprovallaiance!
✨ We are accepting applications for our diversity scholarships (that we’ve partnered with BIA on) all the time so apply and let’s continue the amazing work Stephanie is doing!! (link in the linktree in our bio!)

A scene from last week’s opening of “So You Think You Can?” This scene involved a couple on the brink of engagement, looking at rings at a jewelry store, one them decides that actually NOW is the perfect time to propose but gets tongue tied and asks a security guard to sub in!
This show is a grounded, touching, relationship based improv comedy show about the reality behind reality TV competition contestants. How did they get to where they are now? What’s their story? Who do they love? What are their failures? Their strengths?
This show was conceived by Deepika Pangarkar, who studied at HUGE Theater in Minneapolis before moving to Austin and taking classes at The Hideout. Deepika says she wants to make improv that is touching AND funny and that’s what gave her the push to create this show (which is touching and funny!)
Deepika and Adrian Gonzalez direct this show, it runs Saturdays at 7pm!✨

The Process behind "So You Think You Can?"

So You Think You Can? is the brain child of improviser Deepika Pangarkar! The team of So You Think You Can? will delve deep into the relationships that develop between contestants while they vie for respect, recognition and fame. What happens when they band together or become friends all while being rivals? Can their friendships stand the test of competition?
These themes are explored using the famed Harold improv format.
So You Think You Can? is conceived by Deepika Pangarkar and directed by Deepika Pangarkar and Adrian Gonzalez.
