FronteraFest

FronteraFest FronteraFest is a 5 weeks-long performance jamboree held every Jan - Feb at Hyde Park Theatre & more.

Every night during FronteraFest, the Short Fringe presents a new bill of four or five plays no longer than 25 minutes each. We promise continuous entertainment throughout the night thanks to the myriad of talented performers taking our stage by storm. Be prepared for brilliant monologues, plays in progress, comedy improv, cabaret singers, avant-garde dance, short films, and even multimedia, because at FronteraFest, we've seen it all! Every Saturday night is a juried "Best of the Week" performance, and the last week, February 11-15, is the juried "Best of the Fest"--with a few wild cards thrown in. January 20-February 2 is the Long Fringe for pieces up to 90 minutes long at the Salvage Vanguard. Check out hyde park theater's website for more info and our updated events found below!

“This is why we go to the theater: To be mystified. To be enthralled. To be galvanized. We want to be in the same space as other people. Taking the same breaths and cackling the same laughs. Feeling the same terrors and finding ways to endure them together. That's what it's like to see Katherine
Catmull in Megan Gogerty's "Feast."

Writer/performer Robin Chotzinoff's show is comedic exploration of her relationship with clothes in general. And also it's a clothing swap. And there's a lot of slides, too.

At first, Wakey, Wakey feels like an eccentric conversation filled with dry humor and scattered thoughts. Then the truth lands. Hyde Park Theatre’s production of Will Eno’s play is intimate and funny, and Ken Webster delivers a deeply human performance.
