I UNofficially said this a while ago but here's a more official statement. I am taking mending commissions again. I wanna stitch up your clothes. Contact me through DM, email, text, call, letters, birdsong, anything. If there's an aesthetic you want, I'll work with you. If there's a color you prefer, I got them all. If you want a smiley face or an eye or a 🔥 emoji over a hole, let's talk. As long as you're keeping your favorite duds alive.

Here's a redux of the wool work shirt I shared a while ago. I wasn't satisfied with the repair at first, and after a convo with the other day, I decided to change it. I'm much happier with it now.

(All wool sears Pilgrim brand work shirt, like a workwear sized medium)

"...I ain't welcome at home, I don't know about you..."

Hand-chainstitched some lyrics on my favorite repaired and cut off sleeved wrangler shirt for the show at the end of May. When told me he thought I would really like Nick Shoulders, he was right.

Here's an interview I did recently. I'm sharing my favorite response to a question in it, and also sharing some test printing I did this week. I hope to have some stuff printed by mid week next week, before I head off to a wedding.

P.s. I'll be in Houston this weekend, if you're at this Sunday, I hope we can see each other. I'm just visiting, not vending, but I love to visit still.

Post+ Story Sale: everything must go and even a little negotiable- I won't be printing some of these again. Please ask any questions needed if you wanna grab something.

I want to declutter, my apartment feels full to the brim of stuff from the past, stuff I don't want languishing around me... I wanna get this out, out to places and people who will appreciate it, patch it, hold onto.

There will be a story sale as well explaining more and it'll be in highlights too.

CONUS shipping please .

Picking a prompt out for - 6. Social

Social is tough word, at least since Social media became ubiquitous. It's a stupid name for arguably one of the most alienating extensions of technology ever made (so far). I'm glad we have the ability to find other people around the world who do similar things, or have beautiful and unique voices in their space, but I try to keep a realistic understanding of what this thing is: a business of selling a highly curated, semi-public window to other people- a medium to exchange that information that is tightly controlled and not reflecting real life.

Please don't misunderstand me. I'm glad for the connections I have been able to make, but those connections are with people- not from viewing images on a screen, not from getting this constant barrage of intense, horrible and contradictory information about every single thing in every single place, digested in a way no previous generation ever had to digest information....

Anyways, here's a little celebration to a few experiences last year where I got to spend time with others and talk about mending, stitching, and creativity (I snuck a printmaking workshop picture in there). I feel the absolute best with other people.

Shoutout to who helped me with a great online class as well (unfortunately not pictured).

Today's prompt is my favorite:

4.

If you have a garment mended by me, or if you would like to share your own mends, please post or share about it today! this term, mendcore, is pretty funny and great to me.

I love mending clothing. I'm a mere 5 years into this journey but it's a practice that I've integrated into my life deeply. For me it's my response to the fact that we have enough, more than enough, to swaddle generations of people in fabric- even if we shut the factories down right now. Mending is powerful, and it really does make you care more about this stuff we take for granted.

Thanks to my friends all over who teach me so much, and thank you to those who graciously seek me to pass this craft along to them.

1,2,3.
1. I AM:
2. In Progress
3. In Pieces

Some of you may have seen my face more often lately, but this is more for the algorithm to notice my posts than anything else. I don't love being in front of a camera. I hope it's cool for using this pic of us from last month.

I can't pretend I'm the happiest right now, but I can always promise that I enjoy talking to folks about mending and printmaking, life and work and school or whatever you got going on.

Here's some pics of a couple garments I've been working on. I hope you're week is going well. Don't be a stranger.

Also, come see me at this Saturday (March 5th) and say hi 👋
