Day 3. From the practical to the elemental. 🌲💧

Saturday at The Gathering US moves across some very different terrain.

How do we build communities that actually work? How might regenerative projects be funded differently? And what happens when we turn our attention back to one of the most fundamental systems sustaining life: water?

Across the day, camp programming moves between community building, entrepreneurship and ceremony, bringing questions of money, land, governance, stewardship and relationship into the same forest.

Different pathways. One village. Plenty to explore.

Friday at The Gathering US turns toward a question every regenerative project eventually encounters: how do we build something that can actually last?

From becoming funding-ready to exploring new ways of stewarding land, organizations and shared resources across generations, Day 2 moves between entrepreneurship and community building.

Because imagining another future is one thing. Creating the structures, resources and relationships that can carry it forward is another.

What happens at a Gathering?
Sometimes it looks like this. 🌲🔥✨

People meeting for the first time. Conversations turning into friendships. Ideas becoming collaborations. Learning, making, celebrating, eating, dancing and spending a few days in the company of people who care deeply about what comes next.

There’s a programme, of course. But much of The Gathering happens in the spaces between it.

This is a glimpse of what happens when we show up.
And this October, we gather again.

Thursday, October 15 marks the beginning of The Gathering US.

As people arrive beneath the redwoods, the first camp programming begins. Projects start preparing for the Venture Staking Arena, Ganeshas Lounge opens a space for tea, cacao, sound, meditation and connection, and 15 camps begin weaving their own experiences into the wider Gathering.

This is only the beginning.
Over four days, Camp Navarro becomes a living village of workshops, conversations, experiments, ceremonies, music and experiences created by the communities gathering here.

There is a reason humans have gathered around fire for thousands of years.
Fire changes the social field.

People slow down. Attention becomes more focused. Silence feels less awkward. Stories emerge differently. Conversations can move beyond performance and into something more reflective, more honest and more human.

At The Gathering US, fire circles are part of that rhythm.

They create a different kind of space from a workshop or panel. A place for story, reflection, difficult questions, laughter, listening and the kinds of conversations that need time to unfold.

Sometimes the environment matters as much as the agenda.
And sometimes the right conversation begins when everyone is facing the same flame.

For one moment, the redwoods become part of a much bigger story.

On October 17, The Gathering US will join ‘Origin’ — a global broadcast connecting thousands of events around the world in a shared celebration of unity and planetary regeneration.

From Camp Navarro, we’ll be part of a moment unfolding across countries, communities and cultures: people gathering in different places, carrying different traditions and working on different parts of the same larger transition.

It is a reminder that none of this work happens in isolation.
What we build locally can still belong to something planetary.

We’re welcoming Tree Willard, co-founder of ReWoven, to The Gathering US 2026.

Tree is a social architect, community-builder, artist, and self-described lovejoymonger whose work has spent decades circling one essential question: how do we learn to live well together?

A Cherokee citizen, longtime coalition-builder, and co-chair of Restoring Lifeways, Tree has helped bring countless grassroots projects into being and has worked across community organizing, culture, media, ceremony, and relational practice.

Today, she is building Allelo NAO, a peer-to-peer community designed around belonging rather than platform dependency, and co-creating ReWoven, a fund and media project exploring what becomes possible when land, tradition, relationships, and community are brought back into relationship.

At The Gathering US, Tree brings a deeply human perspective on belonging, interdependence, and the social fabric required for regenerative futures.

Because sometimes the most radical innovation is not a new technology.
It is remembering how to be human together.

09/30/2026

AI can give us more information, more ideas and more answers than ever before.

But abundance of intelligence does not automatically create trust, belonging, shared context or collective action.
Those still emerge through relationship.
Through spending time together. Through seeing how someone thinks, listening beyond the obvious, disagreeing without disappearing, sharing food, building something, walking, laughing, noticing what happens in the spaces between the agenda.

As AI changes what knowledge work looks like, the purpose of gathering may change too.

Less emphasis on simply transferring information.
More emphasis on building the human capacities that are harder to automate: trust, discernment, collaboration, courage, imagination and the ability to act together across difference.

The question is no longer only what AI can do for us.
It is what still requires us to be fully present with one another.
