Two SOLD OUT nights celebrating the one and only Dolly Parton with STEEL MAGNOLIAS on the big screen and a very Dolly-worthy performance from Brigitte Bandit. Big hair, bigger hearts, and SO much love for The Queen of Country 💖

We opened up the Paramount archives to share photos and newspaper clippings from Dolly's visits to the theatre in 1977 and 1982. Some of the items were publicly displayed for the first time, including her autograph from her music show in ‘77.

JUST ANNOUNCED: Red River Watch Party on Saturday, October 10th at the State 🏈 Catch college football’s biggest showdown on one of Austin’s biggest screens! Join us at the State Theatre for a watch party as Texas takes on their longtime rival from up north, hosted by Austin comedians Danny Goodwin and Hunter Duncan.

We’ve got cold drinks, comfortable seats, clean restrooms, and (most importantly) AIR CONDITIONING. Plus, we’ll be serving up all the gameday essentials: hot dogs from The Hot Dog King, Fat Belly Pretzels, candy, and drinks for purchase.

Or you’re a Ken…Greta Gerwig’s already-iconic, generation-defining blockbuster BARBIE returns to the biggest screen in Texas on October 5th for our RyMAX series!

According to Ryan Gosling, he accepted the role of Ken after seeing his daughter's Ken doll lying face down in the mud next to a squished lemon. He then took a shot of the doll and lemon and sent it to Greta Gerwig, saying, "I shall be your Ken, his story must be told."

From the one-legged pirate to the talking parrot to “Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.” As creator Jason Neulander told K*T Austin, “Everything that you think of when you think of pirates comes from Treasure Island.” 🏴‍☠️

Now, he’s taking the adventure that started it all and turning it into something entirely new: TREASURE ISLAND REIMAGINED, a live-action graphic novel combining voice actors, live sound effects, original music, and huge illustrations.

Rest in peace to the most empathetic and radical of them all, Gloria Steinem (1934-2026)🤍

A fearless visionary, champion for equality, and “hopeaholic,” Gloria inspired so many with her conviction and unwavering belief in the possibility of change.

We were deeply honored to welcome her to the Paramount stage alongside Margaret Atwood in 2022 for This Is Not a Drill with support from the Tejemos Foundation, a powerful conversation about Texas politics, social justice, and the issues shaping our world.

Thank you, Gloria, for giving us so many reasons to hope.
