The waiting, the patience, the persistence - for the shot. That split second - that smile, the eye roll, the teardrop, the hug - captured - freezing a moment in time at just the right time. This is why I do this.

These photos were taken years ago, of a family I hold dear to my heart, and they are some of my favorite images to date. I always revisit this set. I keep seeing images of these three boys pop up on my instagram feed AND MY GOD how they have grown!

This was my first Family Photojournalism Session. I was with this family for probably 10 to 12 hours. I spent a lot of that time just quietly observing and getting shots of them hanging out in their home, then we attended an Astros game with them, capturing little boy baseball moments.... priceless! 😍.
