Tonight is a special edition of where I’ll exclusively be playing music from the “indie sleaze” era (early 00s). Dancepunk, electro + electroclash, indie dance, filter house, and blog house. Like every NLNL it will begin at 8pm and run til 930 at . For most of the event it will be pitch black, with enough light for you to make sure you don’t dance into anyone else but nothing more than that. Come check it out, if it goes well we may try to do an 00s party some weekend night soon

Happy Halloweek! I know it doesn't seem like it with so much going on in the world, but as I love this holiday I'm getting into the spirit(s) nonetheless. If you wanna join me in some musical tributes to spooky times, you've got three ways this week: Tonight (Monday) 9pm eastern is No Lights No Lycra ATX: Virtual Edition, where I will be playing countless spooky jams. Wednesday 11pm eastern is my show on KPISS which I will be dedicating to haunted robots, and on actual Halloween (Saturday night) here in downtown Austin I'm DJing on the Trace patio, after a band masquerading as Willie Nelson. I'm on 6-9, you can socially distance at tables etc.

Oh crap guys, last night we had a really bad robotrip on my radio show on KPISS. Or was it a robot trip? Or a robot robotrip? Whatever happened, it's all a blur of Leonard Nimoy talking about laserdiscs, screwed synthpop, Tollywood electro, druggy cosmic disco, and a song talking about how great time is. Yeah man, time is really great, where would we be without time? Anyway go use some of that time to stream all this weirdness here.

ACCESS DENIED. A bad robotrip has led us down a dark path into regions best left unscanned. Druggy cosmic disco, screwed synthpop, Bollywood electro, anthems to time, VGM, and an armful of weird samples we should have never stripped off of the seedier corners of the internet.

No Humans premieres on KPISS with italo disco edits, one minute songs to commemorate the release of some badges, dumb rave era songs about the future, and cat hair getting stuck on my needle and making the record skip. Yay.

We've had to suspend having NLNL at the Ana Lark Center for the foreseeable future but we are moving it to cyberspace. We'll have a couple people dancing in our living room and my DJ set live tonight from 8pm - 9:30pm CST. First time I've ever tried streaming myself DJing but I'll be mixing live, go here to watch. And remember, you can't spell social distancing without dancing.
