The Rainey District We are Austin's Back Porch The Rainey District™ is an area of historic homes, many built in the bungalow style, located in downtown Austin.

We’re nestled between beautiful Lady Bird Lake I-35, and a stones throw away from many downtown attractions. Twenty-one buildings are specifically identified as a part of the historic district, but there is also a stretch of the district between Red River and Driskill, which includes 31 buildings built before 1934, giving the neighborhood a historic character compared to other areas of Austin.
