📣 Lux Salsa Wednesdays are now fully On2—with Beginner On2 to build the foundation before Intermediate. 💃🏻🕺🏼

Beginner is for progressing dancers who are already comfortable with basic Salsa steps or have prior dance experience. Intermediate is for experienced Salsa dancers who are comfortable dancing On2 and ready for a faster pace, more layered partnerwork, intricate footwork and shines, musicality, and technique.

SALSA WEDNESDAYS
7:30 PM · Beginner On2
8:30 PM · Intermediate On2
with Stefan & Carolyn De La Rosa

Beginner On2 also makes a great fundamentals warm-up before Intermediate. And Unlimited members can take both (and as many weekly classes as they want)!

Brand new to Salsa, new to dance, or prefer a gentler pace with more repetition? Start with Newcomer Salsa On1 on Tuesdays at 8:30 PM. The first Newcomer class is FREE for new students!

Austin school people: we’d love to talk with you.

Do you work at—or have a strong connection to—a public or private high school within Austin city limits or the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction? Would you like to help more students experience Latin dance, music, and culture?

Lux Arts Collective is seeking up to three partner schools for a structured 2026–27 Introductory Salsa program for students in grades 9–12. It consists of five one-hour sessions that may be scheduled during the school day or after school. The full series is funded by Lux, including paid instructors, and offered at no charge to selected partners or their students. Because the sessions form one complete learning sequence, partners must be able to host all five.

If you can connect us with the person responsible for fine arts, student programming, enrichment, or community partnerships at an eligible school or program, please send Lux Arts Collective a DM or message Carolyn De La Rosa.

Know someone we should talk with? Please tag them or share this post with them.
