The Women’s Symphony League of Austin is honored to recognize Knight and Mrs. Nicholas Richard van Bavel (Linda Butler van Bavel) for their generous Les Champs-Élysées Sponsorship of the 2026 Jewel Ball, La Belle Époque, as well as their table sponsorship of the Fashion Luncheon 🇫🇷✨

Linda’s dedication to the arts extends well beyond this year’s celebration. Linda recently stepped off the Board of Trustees of the Austin Symphony Orchestra after 23 years of service — the last three as President. Throughout her tenure, she played an important role in advancing the Symphony’s mission and ensuring that music continues to enrich our community for generations to come.

Linda and Nicholas’s meaningful support reflects a shared commitment to the Austin Symphony Orchestra and the music education programs that inspire thousands of Central Texas children each year. Their participation is a family affair: Linda’s father, Ernest Butler, is King Brio ###II, Linda was presented as a Princess in 1987, and her children, Michael, Rebecca, and Annika, have all participated as trainbearers, a beau and a squire, a couple of belles and a royal es**rt, with delight.
