Throwing it way back to a legendary night at The Back Room in Austin, Texas—one of many shows I had the honor of promoting. Sharing a moment here with the one and only Lemmy from Motörhead. Those were wild, gritty, loud, and beautiful days. Forever grateful for the memories made in that and many rooms /stages. ❤️⚡️

We are thrilled to feature Amy Annelle, a multifaceted Americana songwriter and folk musician from Austin, Texas. Annelle is a captivating storyteller whose deep catalog reflects a modern vision entwined with respect for America’s rich musical legacy. Known for her rendition of Townes Van Zandt’s “Buckskin Stallion Blues,” which featured in the Academy Award-winning film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Annelle's heartfelt performances have resonated globally.
Emerging from a long battle with chronic illness, Annelle returns with her enthralling new album, The Toll, a visceral 12-track treasure. Backed by some of Austin’s finest studio musicians and co-produced by Cooper McBean of The Devil Makes Three, this album showcases Annelle’s deft musical language, transcending genre boundaries.
Since her 1998 debut single “Rudy,” Annelle has contributed to the work of fellow artists like Bill Callahan, Daniel Johnston, Michael Hurley, and Jandek. Her songs, photographs, and essays bear witness to her journey through America, living rough, working odd jobs, and immersing herself in the people, places, and history around her. This coming Saturday!

This Saturday on Main Street in Smithville, TX! Join us for Art & Soul, a series of art talk events hosted by Talitha Newman and Deborah McDevitt Gill. We are delighted to feature Janna Garza, a multimedia artist and storyteller. Janna is part of an upcoming group show with Stephanie Moore and Toni Ardizonne, this August at the gallery.

**12:00-12:45- DJ Mamase vinyl reggae set
**12:45-1:15- Janna Garza art talk
**1:15-2:00- DJ Mamase 80's and 90's electronica set

After that, walk a few doors down to Prizer gallery for a free painting workshop with Austin legend Reji Thomas from 2-4, then a reception for Reji and her paintings from 4-5.

It's a good day to visit Main Street! End the day at The Front Room Wine Bar . Stay over at Katy House Bed and Breakfast in Smithville, Texas, a block away from the gallery and wine bar.
