They Mocked the Beggar… Then the Roman Commander Saw Who He Really Was.
Every day, the same old man sat outside the temple, wrapped in dirty, torn clothes.
He begged for coins.
He spoke to no one.
And nobody knew where he came from.
Then one morning, a Roman commander arrived with his soldiers.
Seeing the old man, he laughed.
He walked over, kicked the beggar’s wooden bowl away, and watched as the coins rolled across the temple steps.
But the old man didn’t react.
Instead, he slowly stood up…
And removed his hood.
The commander suddenly went silent.
His face turned pale.
He stared at the old man like he was looking at someone who had returned from the dead.
Then something unbelievable happened.
The Roman commander dropped to his knees before him.
“Commander… what are you doing?” a soldier asked.
The old man looked down at him and quietly said:
“You remember me.”
