About the Westview Band
The Wildcat Band is comprised of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. There are three performing bands within the Wildcat Band. These include the Beginner Band which is made up of students who are just learning how to play their instruments, the Symphonic Band which competes in the non-varsity category and the Wind Ensemble which competes in the varsity category. The Wildcat Band performs throughout the year for concerts, football games, festivals and U.I.L. Contests. Its members also get a chance to compete as individuals in the Solo and Ensemble and District Band competitions.
