Davis Gallery & Framing is pleased to announce Enclosures – featuring the works of Fallon Bartos, Charles Heppner, and John Sager – on display October 24th through November 21st, 2026. These three artists define enclosures, thinking both inside and outside of the box, in brilliantly unique ways.
Artists Fallon Bartos, Charles Heppner, and John Sager unite around a shared reverence for hidden forms, nature, and discarded history. Bartos, the Apothecarian, dismantles accidental patterns to construct new structures that invite viewers to uncover everyday magic. Heppner, the Romantic Theorist, builds intimate visual layers and Sanctum Boxes to explore spiritual interconnectedness and foster environmental stewardship. Sager, the archivist, draws on decades of museum design experience to convert salvaged materials and historical remnants into structured order. Together, their evocative box constructions and tactile assemblies invite quiet contemplation of the patterns, structures, and stories that enclose our world.
Come see how Bartos, Heppner, and Sager transform raw, collected, and reimagined materials into shadowbox structures that prompt reflection on memory, nature, spirituality, and the passage of time. The gallery invites the public to the opening reception of Enclosures on Saturday, October 24th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
