ATX Chamber Music and Jazz

We’re still on cloud nine after last weekend with the one-of-a-kind !

What a gift to hear Fred’s beautiful solo piano in the intimacy of the Music Box on Friday, then experience the extraordinary interplay of his trio at Assembly Hall on Saturday. We’ll remember these evenings for a long time to come.

A huge shout-out to The Roosevelt Room and Twisted Clover Events for helping make it all so special, and to Lauren Slusher | Photographer and Robert Silver for capturing these moments so beautifully.

Special thanks to Elite Austin for furnishing the beautiful lounge at Assembly Hall and giving our community such a welcoming place to gather.

As always, we’re grateful to our ATX community. Thank you for filling these rooms with warmth, sharing in the music, and making evenings like these possible.

Winner of the American Pianists Awards and DownBeat’s 2025 Readers Poll Pianist of the Year, Emmet Cohen has brought jazz fans around the world together through his celebrated Live From Emmet’s Place sessions. Now we get to welcome him to Austin!

We can’t wait to have Emmet join us for a late-night jam session on Friday, April 2, followed by a performance with his trio at Moody Amphitheater on Saturday, April 3.

Friday’s jam brings festival artists together in the intimate, 300-seat Assembly Hall as part of our Platinum Pass opening night. On Saturday, hear the trio outdoors in downtown Austin’s Waterloo Park.

Two chances to hear Emmet, and a whole weekend of music to explore. Join us at the inaugural ATX Jazz Fest, April 2–4, 2027!

Everyone Deserves Art is the education and access work at the heart of ATX Music.

Across the 2026–27 season, we expect to reach 6,500+ K–12 students and reserve 10% of season-concert capacity—more than 800 complimentary admissions—for students and chaperones.

Throughout the year, artists perform in schools, answer questions, coach young musicians, and welcome students into the concert hall.

Follow along as we share the work.
