So, it started out in an unconventional way (for me), a Facebook message. He caught me at a time where I was figuring things out about myself and my failed relationships. Nevertheless, I was truly happy being single and living life. We talked for months just as platonic online friends till I finally met him for the first time. I have to be honest, I was very cautious with my heart, as I kept it locked away. Moving forward, our friendship blossomed over several months of him coming to see me from New York. And on August 27, 2016, I did the inevitable and I asked him to be my man.

2 years later of us learning new things about each other and building a life together, he proposed and asked me to be his husband. Of course I said YES!! We been married for 3 years going on 4 years. I tell you this, our relationship throughout has taught me a lot about myself and him and I love this man with everything I am and my love for him is golden. Today, in recognition of our love, I wanted to share some of our love journey with you all and to celebrate our friendship over the span of 8 years together.

“Babe, you have changed me in so many ways, that I never knew I could love a person the way I love you. You are simply my rock and ride or die person and my love and heart still skips a beat. We still continue to learn new things about each other because we are both growing and learning new things that bring new revelations about ourselves individually, which makes our bond with one another stronger. Confessions of gay Latino: I hear in my thoughts what I would like people too remember me by and as I thought about in my head, I want everyone to remember me as a man that lived his life to the fullest. He never took advantage of moments he experienced, but took those moments and cherished them with every thing he is. Most importantly, he always took life one day at a time.

I know too many people who are comfortable in their life and are okay in where they are at, and that fine. Nevertheless, I like to think that I live on borrowed time and I want to enjoy every single moment experiences so that it fills my heart and my soul with happiness. Unfortunately, I spent most of my younger years confined on what I thought life was for me, CONFINED. Now, am I content?; never. It’s because I live my life wanting to soak up and learn from my experiences and within those experiences, their is knowledge gained. In closing, I will be that man to embrace EVERY moment that comes my way. Although I know that I won’t experience everything that life has to offer, but that OKAY!!!…..but your damn right I will be out their enjoying every single moment!!
