It’s Senior Weekend for Mary Poppins and today we are celebrating the incredible Emmaline Frace! 🌟
Emmaline (she/her) has been part of kidsActing for 4 fun-filled years as a brilliant addition to our Advanced Cast.
While Mary Poppins is definitely her favorite role, she also loved playing the Witch in "Into the Woods"! Emmaline has big plans to attend Long Island University to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre!
Emmaline's favorite memory: "One memory I laugh about a lot nowadays is when I fell backstage during Cabaret. I absolutely just toppled over in the wings. Some of my cast mates (including Ollie) came running and helped me get up and get ready to go onstage. Thinking about it now, kidsActing has brought me a support system and just truly amazing friends. It's not everyday you find a community with people you can be yourself with. I think about that memory in relation to it because the fact that all those people came to help me, in general, was an amazing feeling. Cabaret as a whole was a great year."
When asked to share advice for younger performers, Emmaline said, "Go all out. I especially used this as the Witch, I had to internalize the fact that she was OLD and I just fully went with it and that character wouldn't have been the same if I hadn't just gone with it an hunched myself over for half the show. Don't give just 50%, if the character needs something more DO IT don't try to skimp your way through a show that's not what acting is." BEAUTIFUL advice!
