This little caterpillar needs a NAME!!!

Calling all my handknitters AND aspiring handknitters! I think I’m lowkey in my market-make plushies + scrap-yarn projects era right now. 😂 And if you do markets too, I’m right there with you prepping!

I actually gave these caterpillars a little market test already, and they flew off my table at my last market! So of course, I knew I had to turn this cutie into a pattern for y’all.

Use your leftover yarn, mix ALL the colors, add as many body segments as you want, and make your caterpillar completely your own!

So I was scrolling through my old handknit project photos and found these… 🥹

Do I miss making blankets? Maybe. 😂
Do I miss our old apartment? Not really. 🤣
But do I miss making these little gnomes?! YESSS! 😂

I remember these gnomes would always sell out at the farmers market I used to do when I was just starting out. 🥹 It’s crazy looking back at some of the things I used to make!

Now I’m kinda tempted to bring the gnomes back… 😂

Sometimes you don’t realize how much you miss making something until you make it again. 🥹

Today felt like a little trip back to my roots. And I think that’s exactly what I needed on this gloomy, rainy day.

Also… why did I ever stop making these purses?! 😂 I have BOXES of scrap yarn waiting for me, sooooo I have a feeling this won’t be the last one.

Sometimes going back to an old project is just as exciting as starting something new. ❤️

This post popped up in my TikTok memories… 🥹❤️

Not gonna lie, I miss this kind of setup. Seeing all my handknit plushies displayed together 3 years ago… and oh my goodness, my old business banner, Because I Love You Crafts & Beyond! 🥹

Looking back at where I started and seeing how much this little creative journey has grown makes me feel so humbled and grateful.

It actually started because I needed a different craft, something that didn’t require a machine and wasn’t loud, so I could still hear my baby while I worked. 🥹 I ended up designing and handknitting a plushie as an anniversary gift for my husband… and I had no idea where that one little project would take me.

What started with that one plushie has turned into so many patterns, plushies, tutorials, markets, friendships, and opportunities I never could’ve imagined.

Through all the changes, pauses, learning, and growing, one thing has stayed the same... I still genuinely LOVE to create. ❤️

So grateful for this gift, this journey, and every single person who has supported my creations along the way. All glory to God for allowing me to keep doing something that brings me so much joy.

Here’s to remembering where we started while being grateful for where we are today. 🥹🫶
