Long time without posting. This is Peanut, my friend’s grey tabby with a quirky personality. I’d really love to paint more things, animals, fantastical things, whatever! If you’ve got any fun ideas or would like to see your fur baby on canvas, let me know!❤️

Fox Fam. 12x12. Acrylic on canvas.

This was a Christmas present for my eldest sister Laura. I originally intended to gift this to her around the time her baby Allie was born, but I was disappointed with how it turned out and put it to the side to fix up later. I revisited it last year and after some thought I felt like I just needed to give it to her because it really is a sweet picture and it was made with love. I really enjoyed seeing her open it in person ❤️

Long time no post! So sorry y’all. The creative juices sometimes flow and sometimes it’s like I can’t bring myself to pick up a paintbrush for months. But I promise I will keep coming back because painting is a passion and an escape. I’ve got a couple of old posts to do and one new work that I just finished painting last week. Bare with me.

Mysticowl. 8x8. Acrylic on Canvas.

Every year for Christmas we do a family gift exchange where we draw a name and that’s who we give a gift to that year. Last year, I drew my cousin Sophie’s name and she asked if I could do a small painting. I was happy to do so and was even happier that she wanted an owl. I had some creative freedom so I experimented a bit and tried to go with a style from some of my older owl pieces but it didn’t quite come out as I envisioned. I was working with a much smaller canvas and I think that threw me off a little. I regretted adding all the colors because the owl already looked great without them, plus the feet were really giving me a hard time. I’m my own worst critic! Sophie loved it though and I was so happy I got to see her open it and show it off to everyone! So appreciative of my family and their love for my artworks. Thank you Sophie!

And here’s Snoopy! Once again grateful for friends who support my art. Thank you and .
When Tann and Michaela first adopted Snoopy he was a little shy, but he has really come out of his shell because they’ve provided him with such a safe and loving home. ❤️ He’s all smiles! Can’t wait to meet him someday.

This is one of my favorite pet portraits I’ve done so far! Look at that happy boy! ❤️

Hughie
12x12. Acrylic.

I was so excited when I got a text from asking me to paint Hughie as a present for .
I surprised them with a painting last year of their dog Eve, which our friend Ernie ( .studio , also a super talented artist check out his work on Instagram!) had also painted for them and I had no idea! Turns out this year it sorta happened again! 😂 I loved seeing Ernie’s paintings of Michaela and Tann’s pets. Super adorable and somehow these pieces all complemented eachother without us even knowing we were painting the same subjects. It was a surprise collab!
Big thanks to my love for keeping this painting a secret from Tann, Tann had also requested a painting for Michaela of their dog Snoopy (I will be posting that one next) that Mac had to keep secret from Michaela. It was a great scheme!
I also just want to say I am so thankful for friends that uplift and support my artwork.
I have to admit I struggled with this painting a little. Cat fur is so detailed and intricate and I tend to have a heavy hand. I think he still turned out great though!
