How to prep yourself for a tattoo session:

1) Research
There are many ways to tell a story. That’s why finding the right references and the right artist matters.
Don’t rush it. The best work comes from trust, and trust takes time.

2) Prepare yourself
A tattoo is controlled damage, so your body matters.
Be well rested, hydrated, and avoid partying the night before.

If you want to help your artist, don’t shave the area yourself.
Light moisturizing a few days before your appointment is perfect.

3) Know the process
Understand how your session will flow: sketching, placement, breaks, photos.
Confirm timing, pricing, and payment methods ahead of time.

If your artist is cash only, come prepared.
Tipping is always appreciated, never expected. Even something simple like homemade cookies goes a long way.
