Welcome back to the crowd, artists! I’m back and ready to bring back this beautiful community that I’m so happy to see has flourished in my absence. To kick things back off, we’re gonna bring back the creatives + coffee chat… in person this time! All safety measures will be in place, and we will be meeting in a large outdoor setting, of course! If you’re not comfortable attending, I totally understand, and will be planning another virtual one here soon!

Good morning, Artists of Austin!✨🦋 It’s a beautiful rainy day, perfect for creating. This post is going to outline a lil change for our community, so keep reading for details!

When I originally created this platform, it was meant to be a way for creatives to network in and across their genres, but I wanted to provide microclimates for each of the above disciplines... communities within the community. Here, they could share ideas, resources, energy. From here on out, I will be dedicating a specific day of the week to a post regarding a specific focus (sorry visual artists, there wasn’t a fun day of the week alliteration for V🥺). I’m so excited to see where this goes!

ARTIST BLURB: My husband and I own a local art & photography business, . Visual artist is about the most specific I get describing myself because I’m constantly changing mediums and styles. Painting, drawing, printmaking and cut paper are what I love to practice most and land/sea/sky-scapes are my favorite subject matter 🤗

When I’m not creating I like to run, hike, hangout at the lake and travel 😁 I also have an Instagram page for my Etsy shop .

Every Saturday, I’ll be publishing a post (like this one!) reaching out to certain kinds of artists within this group to highlight on this page, Facebook, and eventually the online platform. The featured artists will rotate disciplines every week, alternating between subcategories within Film, Music, Visual Art, and Writing.

If the weekly post is regarding your focus group, send me a DM or an email! Include a sample of your work and a quick blurb about yourself, and I’ll choose a creative each week to feature✨ I’ll also be reaching out to artists myself (always am!), but would love for you guys to send me lil portfolio pieces.

The featured post will premiere Wednesday, and will include story time as well💜 ALL DISCIPLINES OPEN THIS FIRST TIME. I’ll be in contact to talk further about these as you all reach out. Excited to broadcast y’alls art and talents, my inbox is open now!
