this lovely client flew in from out of state and wanted to get a birthflower forearm wrap, incorporating elements from her wedding dress.

i thought this was such a lovely way to hold something so precious near, that is subtle and not quite so obvious.

we combined freehanding the overall flow, and stenciling the other elements to create this beautiful forearm wrap that moved with her body, creating specific focal points, and a design that was overall cohesive.

this was so much fun, and i was honored to get to work together on this! thank you for your trust, and patience with me (even though a funny day in which i misplaced my keys, hehe.)

in the end it all worked out, and i love the end result. i've seen some photos of it a few days later, and it settling in perfectly.

if you want flowers to represent the people special to you in life, i would love to bring your vision to reality.

the vibrant blue colour is actually from tiny scale like structures, that refract light and create an optical illusion.
males are more vivid; females have a more subtle colouration with small crescent patterns on the edges of their wings.
their lifespan is up to 8 months, which is on the longer end.

brush + ink | a limited capsule of fineline floral and botanical pieces, studying traditional Japanese & Chinese ink brush paintings.

traditionally, this work has been painted on silk, or rice paper. skin, it turns out, is also a suitable canvas for another type of ink.

i had so much fun collaborating with Laura on this piece. we found a beautiful flow that worked with her body and the shape of the map itself, while incorporating flowers chosen for their dual nature, poisonous and medicinal at the same time.

of corse, i took this opportunity to explore some deep dive videos on middle earth, which also influenced my design of what florals went where, just a extra place for intention to be placed. I loved so much working on this one, thank you Laura!

i am from Northern California, but have lived in Austin Texas off an on since 2010. My background is in fashion photography & video production, I have had the honor of working with creative teams on set all around the world, and received my BA in Visual Communication from the fashion institute of design & merchandising - FIDM. combined with my background in fashion & design, my work is characterized by a meticulous attention to intricate detail, & a unique creative vision. my gentle energy and intentional flow based design approach invites clients to entrust me to bring their tattoos to life in art that harmonizes with the natural form and tones of the body, and individuality of each client i work with.
