We’ve had a busy and fun couple of days in the GMS band department! Our jazz band, directed by Mr. Wahl, had a fantastic concert last night at Bowie HS! This morning, Honors Band had the opportunity to work with composer Jack Wilds on the piece that the band commissioned him to write in memory of Diane Gorzycki. We will be performing the world premiere at our concert next week! Finally, this afternoon, our beginning band had their first after school rehearsal to prepare for the spring concert.

SO.MUCH.MUSIC! Can’t wait to see everyone at our concert on May 16! 🎶 🐾

Photo dump from our San Antonio trip yesterday! We had a great time performing at The Tobin Center 🎶, visiting Sea World 🌊, and driving go karts at Andretti Indoor Karting 🏎️! Special thanks to our AMAZING chaperones who took great care of our kiddos. Go GMS Band! 🐅

Our beginning band had a great time on our field trip last week! First we visited a rehearsal of Bowie‘s top band and were blown away by their amazing musicians! Then we went and had lunch and played games at Epic Fun in Oak Hill. A wonderful time was had by all! 🎶 🐾 🐯
