This is my updated September playlist and it is guaranteed to be one you’ll want to play many times. I play these playlists quite often and never get tired of them. This one has several bluesy songs as well as rockers and a few country. I love it.
I had this playlist put together and containing some artists that were new to me when I found the songs in my library where I had saved them at some point. Then when checking out tags I realized there are a couple here that are a bit more well known, at least judging from their number of Spotify monthly listeners. But all the music goes well together so that’s a plus for the rest of us. So, I left them. Hope you love the playlist as much as I do, and will give it some love especially if you’re on it. 01) The Flying Beets The Stupid Way You Breathe
My favorite song by The Flying Beets even though they have many great songs. I think it is because the vocal is totally outstanding – way above the bar, and the song is well produced, and it rocks.
02) Rosie’s Smokehouse Deluxe Run Like the Wind
Rosie’s Smokehouse Deluxe is one of my favorite bands. This song has such a great blues groove, and their singer’s attitude, phrasing and delivery is the best.
03) Brother Dynamite If We Dare
This song is a holdover from the 2025 version of this playlist. I think it is outstanding and I love the message. Couldn't bring myself to take it out. Brother Dynamite, Yeah!
04) JoDan Music Page #1
This song is totally Dan of JoDan Music from start to finish. Hard edged and unique. I think it is quite the experience. Love it.
05) The Blindfold Experience Paradise – Acoustic
This power ballad is so gorgeous and a testament to the bands’ skill and creativity. The vocal is beyond good. Stellar.
06) Anne Gair Oh Jimmy
Oh Jimmy – I love this rock / pop-rock song. Love the lyrics about Jimmy who can never be satisfied.. Always looking for greener grass. An excellent song, well put together.
07) Otis I’m Wicked
Another blues rock song with lots of versatility. The guitar leads and the triplet sections add such variety. Fantastic. This band tours widely and seems to be getting more and more popular.
08) Ryan Saupp This Country Life
A classic country song with awesome lyrics and a excellent vocal, solid groove and great vibe.
09) Ataraxia Music Kingdom 3
Love this song by Ataraxia Music. Yes he can do an awesome acoustic guitar as well as excellent keyboards. The whole production is totally fantastic.
10) Sal Caruso,Jaded Soul, Dynamite Throw 4th of July
Pulsing bass lines throughout, great vocal, guitar leads solid drums. An awesome atmospheric song. Makes me want a hot dog.
11) Johnathan Dunn, MattJH, Dropouts Freefall
A collaborative rock song with a nice mellow guitar intro into a dynamic hard-edged heavy groove, great vocals and very interesting lyrics.
12) Julience Black Sheep
Cool Rock groove song about being the black sheep of the family. Love the production and maybe I can just relate. I feel like the black sheep too.
13) Agrona O’Conner Mercy
Agrona is such a great vocalist that I find I like everything she does. This one is sort of spiritual, talking to Jesus and Mother Mary. It has a great rock vibe with a blues touch and her stellar bluesy delivery style that I love.
14) Showdown Dirt Road Lovers’ Lane
Another great Southern Rock / Country song from an artist that I had not heard before. I listened because I liked the title and I wasn’t disappointed. Also, this band is from Oklahoma where I grew up, so there’s that.
15) When Rivers Meet I Can’t Fight This Feeling
I’m totally stuck on Bluesy rock and this is another great one. From another band I had not heard and who also does a lot of touring in the UK where they are from.
16) The Lillypillies I’m Hypnotized
Solid rock beat and with excellent lyrics . Good vocals. The Lillypillies never disappoint.
17) Soho Jackal, The Exceptional Mr. Hyde London Sky, Charcoal Grey
A new release and what a collaboration - Soho Jackal with the spoken word vocal of the exceptional Mr. Hyde and he is exceptional. Stellar presentation and vocal delivery. Who wouldn’t love it.
18) The Sunflower Symphony Don’t Think So
Great music with a nice mid-tempo groove, and an absolutely fantastic vocal that, to me, makes this song. And I like the message – no longer falling for a lie. Yeah! I don’t think so.
19) Jake Sommer Drift
Awesome drum intro, into a solid groove with great lyrics. A song to turn up while cruising down the highway
20) Chris Neufeld 10 Spin of the Wheel (Radio Edit)
In my opinion, Chris is one of the most creative individuals in the independent music community. I love this song about gambling. It’s so unusual in a great way and it seems to me an analogy for life and trying to do something out of the ordinary.
