Cellist Margaret Coltman is delighted to be joining Entr’acte for Brigadoon. A tenured member of the Austin Symphony Orchestra, Margaret enjoys a varied career as an orchestral, chamber, and theatre musician. Recent and current productions include Annie (Zach), A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (Austin Playhouse), Parade (Ground Floor Theatre), and Company (Roustabout). A passionate educator, she also maintains a thriving private cello and piano studio while pursuing a Master of Music Education degree at Longy School of Music, where she is developing a teaching method that combines instrumental instruction with humanities and history, making the arts more accessible to all.

When she’s not on the stage, in the pit or in the audience supporting her friends and aspiring actor son Teddy, Margaret helps clients find homes as an Austin real estate broker and can usually be found researching family history, untangling DNA mysteries, or disappearing down a historical rabbit hole.
