KETO FM Community Radio Keto Denver Our targeted audiences are immigrants and refugees from Central America (significantly from Mexico) and from Africa (North, East, Central and West).

Considering that there will be only 12-hours a day programming, we cannot expand programming for additional communities, although we would like to. Our primary listenership are those who are, and feel less-privileged. As mentioned, the Board of Directors will be expanded to reflect representation from our listeners’ communities. But KETO will also have the advantage of hearing directly from listen

ers as the FCC requires radio stations to solicit such feedback, which KETO will be doing. But primarily to better serve our listening audiences. As a start-up LPFM radio station, we do not have a history yet to discuss our impacts and effects may have on our listening audiences. Overview As a radio station, programming is at the heart of KETO’s success. Indeed, all future successes rely on the commitment to programming that reflects the needs, realities and opportunities of the community that KETO serves. Without quality programming the organization will not succeed. The efforts that are implemented now will form the foundation of KETO in the 21st century, both on the airwaves and within the world of electronic media. KETO’s commitment to improving and diversifying programming is at the heart of this five year plan and is the fundamental base of KETO operations. The definition of programming is two-fold and includes production and engineering. The two facets of programming are interrelated and must be looked at holistically in order for the following action items to be implemented and developed effectively. Nonetheless, each area does have unique needs in order to increase effectiveness both independently and collectively.
