DSH Entertainment, Inc. brings Poetry events and Old School Soul music concerts to our customers, taking them Back Down Memory Lane. With funds from these ticket sales, we put money back into the community in a number of ways, through our sister Non-Profit organization the A.D.H. The first part of the DSH mission is to reach children
while they are young and help them set and reach goals, before they become at-risk and turn to crime. We aim to present them with alternatives to gang and criminal activities.
- We do this by providing a yearly aviation education camp for kids, to introduce them to careers in the aviation industry.
- We will also provide scholarships to kids to attend the U.S. Space & Rocket Center's Space Camp 6-Day program in the summer months every year.
- We will sponsor trips to college campuses to introduce kids to the college environment.
- We sponsor Little League Baseball and softball teams each summer.
- We also sponsor Poetry Month every April at the University of Chicago. The second part of the DSH mission is to help, not just kids, but at-risk adults as well. We go into correctional facilities and mentor inmates to help them prepare to become productive citizens when they are released back into the community. We will also help ex prison inmates transition into the community through educational and job training opportunities.
