Please join us in welcoming our new music instructor, Jasper Garland! Jasper will be teaching piano and guitar.

• Tell us about a day in your life.

My morning always starts with a large cup of iced coffee, and once that’s
finished, I function as the Owner an CEO of my own media company,
DVRGNT Media. I create custom sound design, offer audio engineer
services to musicians and small businesses, and compose original tracks
for artists and content creators. I spend any free time playing with my pets,
working out, or trying out new recipes with my family.

• What do arts and culture mean to you?

To me, arts and culture are the means of communication of the
complexity of the human experience and the emotions we feel.

• What’s your favorite part of working with Aurora Cultural Arts?

Aurora is known as "The World in a City," and I base my music catalog off of
all the regions of the world, so it felt like a perfect match.

Meet our newest theatre instructor, Ariel!

Ariel will be teaching the Wizard of Oz camp, Storybook, Alive! Outer Space class, and Sideways Stories from Wayside School.

"I’ve been teaching little ones in the performing arts for over 10 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration Speech and Theatre. I’ve been acting since I was a teenager, and had a small role in an independent film called April Showers.

Shortly after I moved to Atlanta, where I got my first ever agent. Now, I’m proudly represented by Donna Baldwin Agency here in Colorado.

As a performer, I know how crucial it is to have a fun, engaging teacher. I love to inspire my students and build their confidence through acting and dance!"

Please join us in welcoming our new arts instructor, Phoebe Walter!

Phoebe will be teaching Craftopia and Youth Drawing this summer.

"I work with ceramics, found objects, sketchbooks, and oil painting to explore environment, community, memory, and play. My teaching encourages experimentation, curiosity, personal expression, and exploration.

A typical day in my life includes a mix of teaching, listening, problem solving and making. I aim to make time for art in each day, sketching ideas, throwing on the wheel, or exploring ideas with oil paint. When I’m not working or art making I enjoy small moments outside or with my cats for inspiration.

My favorite part of working with Aurora Cultural Arts is that I get to be part of a creative community that supports both teaching and artistic growth. I am super excited to see the lesson plans come to life!"

Registration is now open for summer camps!

Keep summer break enriching and social for the young ones in your life by registering them for classes that will inspire them. Whatever they're into, we probably have a camp for it. Here are just a few examples:

Craftopia Camp: The place where creativity knows no bounds! Students will explore a variety of arts and crafts, learning techniques to create polymer clay projects, jewelry, festive decorations and more. This camp is a fun way to experiment with new materials, develop artistic skills and create crafts to take home! Drawing and crafting kit included.

Music Camp: This camp introduces young musicians to basic music concepts, including rhythm, melody and instruments. Through fun activities and interactive lessons, students will explore a variety of musical styles and learn to appreciate the joy of making music.

Sideways Stories from Wayside School: For intermediate students. Rehearse a play based on the popular book series, Sideways Stories form Wayside School. Learn about creating character through voice and movement. Perform for family and friends on the last day of class. Requires third grade reading level, outside classwork, consistent attendance and memorization.
