The Aurora Fox is a professional live theater company located in the heart of Aurora's Cultural Arts District. We pride ourselves on keeping community-building at the forefront of our work and do this through all aspects of our programming -- our mainstage productions, color-conscious casting practices, education opportunities for young artists, playreading groups, community partnerships, special

events, and more. Information to help you enjoy your time at the Aurora Fox:

DIRECTIONS:
If traveling East, simply pass the theatre on Colfax and turn right on Florence to reach our parking lot or turn left for the lot behind 9995. We even have a security guard on duty on Friday and Saturday nights to help you find your way in comfort. We have plenty of free parking:
• Behind the theater.
• Behind the MLK Library
• Behind 9995 East Colfax. TIMING:
Most of our shows are presented without intermissions and run between 75 minutes and two hours. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night performances begin at 7:30 pm; Sunday matinees are at 2:00 pm. Because we have assigned seating you don’t need to arrive any earlier than 7:00 pm for evening shows and 1:30 pm for matinees. That will leave plenty of time for you to find your seat, grab a treat at our concessions station and bar, and visit the restrooms before curtain. CONCESSIONS:
Our concessions offerings include snacks, sodas, beer, wine and mixed drinks. Items may be taken with you to your seats. TICKETING:
We offer convenient online ticketing, in-person (by appointment), and over-the-phone service. Tickets may be held at Will Call, or you can choose to print your tickets at home, or have them sent to your mobile device. NEARBY EATS AND TREATS:

After nearly a decade of working to bring this story to the stage, “Violet” arrives at the Aurora Fox Arts Center in a powerful co-production with Phamaly Theatre Company. The Aurora Fox is excited to welcome director Ben Raanan to bring this story to life.

“I’ve been pitching "Violet" to various theaters in America for about a decade now,” Raanan shared. “No matter how many times the answer was no, I just couldn’t let this play go because it speaks to our basic intrinsic desire to look in a mirror and love what looks back at us.”

This contemporary musical features a rich, genre-blending score rooted in folk, gospel and American roots music as it follows a young woman’s transformative journey across the South in search of healing, belonging and self-acceptance.

Today, staff from our Library and Cultural Services Department attended a milestone for regional transportation in north west Aurora. The event kicked off the Aurora portion of the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit, which will run from Denver Union Station in Denver to the R Line Light Rail Station in Aurora at I-225. The BRT will operate in dedicated center-running lanes from Broadway to Yosemite in Denver and in mixed flow, or side-running lanes, in Aurora from Yosemite to I-225.

We are honored to serve as the epicenter with the many ways our department touches this important part of the city, just within the same block: Martin Luther King Jr. Library, Aurora Fox Arts Center, The People’s Building and great public art around; all part of the Aurora Cultural Arts District
